Equipment Sales

New Equipment Purchases
Odyssey Power is an equipment sales distributor for many UPS, DC power and battery manufacturers. As a distributor for multiple manufacturers, we’re allowed to be flexible and recommend the right system for your specific needs, regardless of the manufacturer.

Refurbished Equipment
Often times new equipment budgets are not available, but you know you still need to find a way to protect your operations from power-related downtime. Purchasing refurbished equipment is a viable option that may satisfy both requirements of staying within a tight budget and providing power protection to your critical operations. We inventory a wide variety of refurbished power equipment to accommodate your needs.

Rental Solutions
We have a fleet of rental equipment for situations that require the need for temporary power protection. The equipment sizes range from small desktop systems to larger three-phase data center applications.
Equipment availability is subject to change without notice.

Finance/Leasing Program
We offer competitive equipment leasing programs for your consideration. You may also decide to finance your equipment purchase and installation all at once. Click here to download our authorized leasing agent application.

Maintenance Service
Maintenance services sometimes require that your equipment is in a bypass mode, which exposes your critical load to power disturbances delivered by the utility power. Depending on your comfort level and specific maintenance windows, we offer the following preventive maintenance schedules:

  • Normal business hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays
  • 24/7 basis, excluding holidays

Scopes Of Work
All preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance procedures are performed in accordance to manufacturer specifications.

Emergency Coverage (24/7)
Odyssey Power will respond to emergency service needs on a 24/7 basis within the continental United States with an onsite response time of no more than four (4) hours. Services can be offered on a Time and Material basis or built into your service plan. However, emergency services on a Time and Material basis would require pre-approval from our credit department. For each service request, a Time and Material Rate sheet will need to be signed and submitted to Odyssey Power before an engineer will be dispatched. Having emergency coverage included in your service agreement will reduce the paper work process and more importantly, the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).

Parts Coverage
Having parts coverage included as part of your maintenance plan will also minimize the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), which eliminates the burden of approvals and the purchase order process. Parts Coverage does not include complete AC or DC capacitor replacements, which will be billed as a Time and Material job.

You may also consider stocking a "Spare Parts Kit" which is pre-purchased and left onsite for use in the event of a part(s) failure. Based on your particular equipment, we offer basic and recommended parts kits. And because we deal with equipment from multiple manufacturers, Odyssey Power inventories a large amount of replacement parts for most major UPS brands.

Battery Coverage
Batteries are considered the weakest link of any backup power system and require regular servicing to ensure optimum performance. With our Battery Coverage option, any batteries found to be defective are usually replaced within 24 hours. This type of coverage reduces the (MTTR) without having to wait on lengthy approval processes.

Client Information Center
We make it easier for you to do business with Odyssey Power by offering you the ability to login to your account via our website to view your current maintenance agreement, service reports and proposals or to submit service requests. This feature is available to you 24/7 for your convenience. Click here to demo our Client Information Center.

Remote Monitoring
Odyssey Power's Remote Monitoring Service offers a complete customized solution that monitors your power protection equipment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our power specialists immediately analyze the alarm event(s) and respond quickly according to pre-defined protocol.

Services Offered

Technical Support
Odyssey Power is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for technical phone support to customers enrolled in a maintenance plan.

Commissioning/Decommissioning
We provide Commissioning and start-up services for all critical power equipment. For new critical sites, there is coordination, scripting and testing involved prior to bringing the customer’s load online. At the end of the day, reports are prepared and submitted to the client with the assurance that the equipment is performing to specification.

We also provide Decommissioning services. This service is set up to gracefully shut down all equipment in the proper sequence and securely disconnect all power and prepare the equipment for relocation and/or disposal.

Battery Replacement
The battery system is one of the most critical and weakest components in any backup system. Each string of batteries is typically connected in a chainlike configuration. In a typical VRLA battery configuration, there may be up to 40 batteries connected in a string. If only one battery is bad in the string, the system will not provide any backup time, causing your load to shutdown ungracefully.

We provide complete battery string maintenance and replacement and also offer redundant solutions for added protection or increased battery backup time.

Equipment Upgrades
When businesses expand, their existing backup system becomes overloaded with more equipment to support. Many times a customer would purchase a larger system to accommodate the new requirements without being aware that their existing power system can be upgraded to a higher capacity. Depending on the system, we will perform equipment upgrades or modifications that can rectify these possible overload issues.

Onsite Training
We offer equipment operational training for your staff. This training program will prepare your group to respond properly to an equipment failure situation and to understand the consequences of the alarm event. All power systems are potentially sensitive and dangerous, so we make sure every customer understands the basic operations of their particular system.

Equipment Installation
We are experts in the area of critical power and can provide electrical installation and project management services to make your project a turnkey solution.

Testing

System Load Testing
A load test can help provide reassurance that the equipment is up to specifications and is functioning properly.

  • 100% rated output load (resistive) performed for any specific burn-in period.
  • Step loads.
  • Battery discharge at 100% rated output load.
  • Full battery recharge.

Power Quality Analysis
Is your system delivering the clean and uninterruptible power that your operation needs? We provide THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) measurements to help determine if your equipment is within specifications.

Infrared Inspection Services
Regularly scheduled infrared inspections of UPS and DC Power equipment, switchgear, circuit breakers and other electrical components can locate hotspots and help avoid a major catastrophe and prevent unscheduled downtime. We can incorporate a regular infrared inspection program to any maintenance plan.
